Doha - Qatar authorities have arrested 10 people who are linked to two espionage cells, connected to Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), after monitoring and close surveillance operations, Qatar News Agency said in a report on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

From 10 suspects, seven of them were assigned with espionage missions, including to gather information about vital and military installations in Qatar. Meanwhile, three other suspects were tasked to sabotage Qatar's operations and received training to use drones.

"They were also found in possession of locations and coordinates of sensitive installations and facilities, means of communication, and technical devices. During the investigations, the defendants admitted to their connection with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and their assignment to espionage and sabotage missions," the report said.

Previously, several information were spread that Qatar has arrested Israel's espionage. The information was false according to Qatar authorities.

"The State Security Service urges citizens and residents to be vigilant and cautious and to report any suspicious activities to the competent authorities," the government of Qatar urged the public.

Qatar is among countries that have been attacking by Iran, as part of its retaliation following United States and Israel joint military operation Roaring Lion launched toward former Persian Kingdom's soils on 28 February 2026.***
