On Thursday, the legal team for president and vice president candidates Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar filed a legal review to the Constitutional Court regarding the result of Indonesia’s 2024 presidential election that’s marking pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s victory.

The legal review was filed the next day after the General Elections Commission or KPU announced the election result on Wednesday evening.

Prabowo-Gibran won in 36 out of 38 provinces, seizing 58.6 percent from the total voters or equal with over 96.2 million votes.

Three pair candidates competed in Indonesia’s 2024 presidential election — Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Ganjar Prabowo-Mahfud MD – held on 14 Feb.

According to the legal team of Anies-Muhaimin, the essence of their plea in the legal review is asking the Court to reject the result of the presidential election and call for a reelection without Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the running mate for Prabowo.

They said Gibran was illegally participate in the race.

There are three days spare are given for those who want to file any legal complaint against the elections, both presidential and legislative elections – results.
