Durian. A magnitude 6.0 earthquake was occured on Friday morning local time in the sea affected Indonesia’s Java Island.
According to the analysis from the Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency or BMKG, no potential of tsunami to happen from the tectonic tremor.
The centre of the quake was on Tuban waters in East Java, 10 km depth from the surface.
The earthquake was the result of the movement of earth plates movement on Java Sea, BMKG said in its official statement.
The tremor was felt strong in almost all areas along coastal north of Java, particularly in East Java and Central Java provinces.
The local authorities have been examine the situation underground. No casualties and damages have yet been reported. (***)
