New Delhi - India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, 25 February 2026 departed for Israel, starting his two-day official visit to the West Asia country.

PM Modi is scheduled to meet Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog and also will speak before the Parliament of Israel, Knesset.

"I will be undertaking a state visit to Israel today and tomorrow. Our nations share a robust and multifaceted Strategic Partnership. Ties have significantly strengthen in the last few years," PM Modi said in his social media account before departing from New Delhi.

PM Modi's two-day state visit to Israel this time is at PM Netanyahu's invitation.

"I look forward to my discussions with Prime Minister Netanyahu aimed at further strengthening our cooperation across various domains, including science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, technology, defence and security, trade and investment, as well as people-to-people ties. We will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest," PM Modi said.

During the visit, PM Modi said he will also meet with H.E. Mr. Isaac Herzog, President of Israel.

"I will also have the honour of becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Israeli Parliament, Knesset, an occasion that would be a tribute to the strong parliamentary and democratic ties that bind our two nations," PM Modi said.

PM Modi is expected to meet Indian diaspora during his visit to Israel.****
