Durian. Indonesia’s General Elections Commission or KPU on Wednesday evening, 20 March announced the result of presidential and legislative elections, Prabowo Subianto and his  running mate  won the presidential race.

Prabowo who is currently Indonesia’s Defense Minister, competed with his running mate Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka who is also the eldest son of President Joko Widodo.

The pair won in 36 provinces out of 38, gaining 58.6 percent, while pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar won in two other provinces.

Here are the count, according to the KPU:

(1) Anies-Muhaimin 40,971,906 votes
(2) Prabowo-Gibran 96,214,691 votes
(3) Ganjar-Mahfud 27,040,878 votes.

Besides announcing the result of the presidential election, the election body also published the final count for legislative elections.

Three-day is given for anybody or party who want to file their complaints regarding the elections result. The dispute will be examined by the Constitutional Court. (***)
