Durian. The second earthquake, magnitude 6.5, hit Indonesia’s Java Sea and felt in Java, Madura and Kalimantan Islands, no tsunami warning was issued on Friday, 22 March afternoon.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency or BMKG, the center of the tremor was about 114 km northeast Tuban, East Java with 10 km depth
Earlier in the morning, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake occured in the nearby location.
The second big tremor was felt in many areas on Java, Madura and Kalimantan, including in the Greater Jakarta.
Data on casualties and damages due to the tremors have yet been issued by authorities. (***)
