Phnom Penh - At least 14 factory workers were killed and 93 others are injured in two separate traffic accidents in Cambodia on Saturday, 23 May 2026, Labor Ministry confirmed.
The first traffic accident took place in Kampong Tralach District, Kampong Chhnang when a container truck with a high speed slammed a worker transport vehicle.
From that accident, nine workers were killed, eight of them were women.
Meanwhile, the second traffic accident occurred in Thmey Village, Svay Rieng City when two worker transport vehicles collided, causing five labors died, including two women, on the scene.
From both accidents, at least 93 workers are injured and were taken to nearby medical facilities to get medical treatments.***
