Jakarta - Foreign Minister Sugiono and Thursday, 23 April 2026 led Indonesian delegate has received his Philippine counterpart Theresa P. Lazaro and delegates for 8th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) at Indonesian Foreign Ministry in Jakarta.
FM Sugiono in his opening remarks of 8th JCBC meeting highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries in Southeast Asia.
FM Lazaro signed a guest book when entering the ministry's main hall entrance, followed with a short talk with her Indonesian counterpart.
This is FM Lazaro's first official visit to Indonesia after taking office in 1 July 2025.
The Philippines is chairing the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) this year. Both Indonesia and the Philippines are members of ASEAN.
During her vist to Jakarta, FM Lazaro has met ASEAN Secretary General on Wednesday.***
