Durian. Indonesian and Chinese governments have concluded an agreement on essential business travel corridor arrangement on Aug.20.
The agreement was finalized during bilateral meeting between Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi and Chinese State Councilor Wang Yi in Sanya, Hainan. Minister Marsudi was accompanied by State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir.
The implementation of the travel corridor was immediately after the agreement made, Minister Marsudi said.
Travel corridor with China for essential business purposes becomes the third agreement that Indonesia has finalized with its friend counties, following United Arab Emirates on July 29 and South Korea on Aug.17.
Travel corridor is one of solutions to overcome covid-19 pandemic situation that allows government officials and business community to pass state borders.
Since the pandemic begun, many countries have closed their border to prevent widespread of covid-19 virus.
The policy has yet applied for tourism purposes.
