Durian. Indonesian peacekeepers who are stationed in the border between Israel and Lebanon have conducted a two-day military exercise for quick response if necessary.
Preparedness training for Battalion Mobile Reserve of Mechanic Battalion of Garuda Contingent XXIII-N/Unifil Task Force was held from June 30 at blue line zone in the border between Israel and Lebanon, Lieut. Col. Prasetyo Ari Wibowo, commander of Mechanic Battalion of Indonesian Military in the task force said.
The training was on technical and tactical drills which based on actual facts and led by training commander Major Sator Sapan Bungin, Indonesian Military said in a statement on July 1.
On June 2, Indonesian peacekeepers managed to prevent possible armed contact between Israeli and Lebanese soldiers in blue line zone, in the border of the two neighboring countries.
At the time, two Israeli tanks have passed the blue line to Lebanon territory which was responded by Lebanese soldiers by preparing grenade launcher.
Indonesian peacekeepers who were in the area have taken quick measures to neutralize the situation and stop the two parties from further actions.
