Durian. Indonesia’s Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry (KKP) issued a circular letter on Nov.26 to stop lobster seeds export temporarily following a graft case found by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in which several ministry’s officials including Minister Edhy Prabowo, the ministry said.

No timeframe is mentioned in the letter for future export policy.

Minister Prabowo was arrested by KPK officers upon his arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten after returning from Honolulu, Hawaii, the United States for an official visit.

With six other individuals, Prabowo was declared as suspects with allegation of receiving bribe during his visit to Honolulu in relation with lobster seed export policy.

The minister is now under KPK detention for further investigation. He has resigned from his ministerial and political posts at the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra).

President Joko Widodo has appointed Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan as ad interim minister at KKP.
