Durian. Cumulative covid-19 case in Indonesia has surpassed 100,000 cases by additional 1,525 cases on July 27, a government spokesman said in Jakarta.
“Today, Indonesia reaches a number [of covid-19 case] which is meaningful psychologically that is 100,000. It is remain all parties that Indonesia is still on crisis situation,” Wiku Adisasmito, spokesman for Covid-19 Task Force said.
Indonesia announced its first positive cases in early March and as of July 27 the number of positive case has reached 100,303.
There are 53 regencies and municipals as of July 27 part of red zones from 35 areas on July 19. Red zones are in 15 provinces – North Sumatra, South Sumatra, North Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Papua, South Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Java, Central Java, Gorontalo, Jakarta and Bali.
Orange zone is rising to 185 areas from 169 zones previously, according to Indonesian Health Ministry’s data.
New clusters of covid-19 cases mostly found from wet markets, Islamic boarding schools, seminars, shopping malls, worship places and offices.
However, recovery rate is 58 percent or 58,173 cases cumulatively, while death toll rose to 4,838.
