Durian. The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) of Indonesia expects will install tsunami early warning system in Mandalika area in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara province by December 2020, the agency spokesman said on Sept. 26.
The area has tsunami potential ranged from medium to high based on researches from apps InaRISK.
BNPB will work together with Mataram University and related regional government institutions.
The area was affected powerful earthquakes in 2018.
Mandilika is one of 10 new Balis that has been developing by Indonesia as new alternative of tourist destinations.
