Durian. Indonesian directorate general of immigration at the Justice and Human Rights Ministry will open its electronic visa services (eVisa) for citizen of eight countries that are subject of calling visa on Nov.23, a government statement said on Nov.22.

The service was stopped temporarily since covid-19 pandemic begun this year.

Calling visa is applied for a country that has condition and situation which at a certain level of vulnerability, observed from immigration perspective regarding ideology, political, economy, socio, cultural, defense and security, Arvin Gumilang, spokesperson of directorate general of immigration said.

Eight countries that its citizen can start apply for eVisa to Indonesia are Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, North Korea, Cameroon, Liberia, Nigeria and Somalia.

“Service trials have been conducted previously and on Monday, Nov.23, we will open eVisa service for calling visa subjects with purpose of family unity, business, investment and work,”Gumiwang said.

Applicant can apply for visa through website: www.visa-online.imigrasi.go.id, while for foreign workers can go to website: tka-online.kemnaker.go.id that is run by the Labor Ministry.

All applications will be assessed by a team consists of officials from Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Labor, National Police, Attorney General Office, the National Intelligence Agency (BIN), the Military Intelligence Strategic Agency (BAIS) and the National Anti-Narcotics Agency (BNN).

The reason for the reopening of calling visa service is many experts and investors are from those eight countries. Additional reason is to accommodate human rights of mix-marriage couples and families.
