Durian. Indonesian government on Feb.23 urges its citizen to avoid travelling to South Korea if unnecessary due to the increasing case of coronavirus, or covid19, significantly especially in the period of Feb.19-23, in the Korean Peninsula country.
The Indonesian embassy in Seoul posted on the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Safe Travel website, updating the current number of covid19 case in South Korea as of Feb.23 which has reached 602 cases with 18 of them have been recovered, five have died and 579 are still under medical treatment. The date was from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC).
South Korean government has declared Daegu and Gyeongsang Bukdo as special care zones.
“Observing rapid spreading of covid19 outbreak in South Korea, we urge those who are visiting and will go to the country to take extra precaution and to avoid travelling to Daegu and Gyeongsang Bukdo,” the embassy said in the statement.
