Durian. Indonesia’s Labor Minister Ida Fauziyah was reported positive of having covid-19 virus on Dec.3 after a series of medical tests.
Spokesperson of the Labor Ministry Soes Hindharno confirmed the information, adding the minister is underwent a PCR test two days earlier and the result came out positive of corona virus.
“There are no serious symptoms. She is healthy. Now, she is taking self-isolation at her place,” he said on Dec.4.
Hindarno said, Minister Fauziyah is still doing her routine activities by chairing important meetings through virtual.
She is the last Indonesia’s minister who is confirmed of having covid-19 virus since pandemic. The Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi was the first minister who had tested positive having the virus on March 14 but is now healthy.
Former Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Minister Edhy Prabowo was also confirmed affected by the virus, followed by Religious Affairs Minister Fachrul Razi. Both individuals are healthy now.
Currently, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and his deputy Ahmad Riza Patria were also confirmed positive for covid-19 virus and both officials are undergoing self-isolation at their official residences.
Based on data from the National Task Force for Handling Covid-19 as of Dec.4, there were additional 8,369 cases in the past 24 hours, contributing to total 557,877 confirmed cases nation-wide.
