Jakarta - Indonesian National Police's International Affairs Unit in cooperation with South Jakarta's Immigration Office on Thursday, 5 March 2026 has arrested a Portuguese fugitive Mariana Guerrero in Jakarta, following a red notice from her country through the International Police (Interpol).

Indonesian Police said according to the red notice received from Interpol, Mariana was accused involving in a murder case of a man in her country. Mariana was alleged committing the crime with her friend in 2020.

"The joint team detain Mariana at South Jakarta's Immigration Office's detention for further investigation," Indonesian Police said in their social media broadcast on Friday, 6 March 2026, adding that Mariana will be deported to Portugal on 9 March.

No details are provided on Mariana's arrival time in Indonesia, her age, activities and the murder case itself.***
