Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto departed from Jakarta's Military Air Base Halim Perdanakusuma for Washington D.C. on Monday, 16 February 2026, to meet US President Donald Trump.
In his official visit to the US, President Prabowo will hold a bilateral meeting with President Trump to discuss the two nations' strategic cooperation in various sectors.
The ties between Indonesia and US marks its development following the signing of Board of Peace (BoP) Charter by President Prabowo in January 2026. BoP was initiated by President Trump.
"This visit will be part of Indonesia's active diplomacy measures to strengthen national position in the global geopolitical contidition," Indonesia's Presidential Office said regarding the visit of President Prabowo to the US.
President Prabowo is accompanied by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in this trip.***
