Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 decided to reshuffle officials from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the main agency that is tasked to deliver the president's main priority program of free nutritious meals (MBG), after one and a half years of evaluation and monitoring.
"For about one and a half years of monitoring and evaluating, today, on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, Mr. President took a decision to change the National Nutrition Agency's leaders," State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced in Jakarta on Tuesday evening.
President Prabowo removed Chief of the BGN Dadan Hindayana and two of his deputies - Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya, acceding to Prasetyo Jadi.
To replace them, President Prabowo appointed then Deputy Chief of the BGN Nanik S. Deyang to lead the agency with two new deputies - Agustina Arumsari and Maj.Gen. Trenggono.
President Prabowo, according to Prasetyo, wanted newly appointed leaders of the BGN to immediately coordinate internally and with regional leaders and to ensure that the free nutritious meals can be implemented faster and qualified.***
