Durian. Indonesian National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit confirmed on Mar.31 evening that a female lone wolf attacker has shot police officers in the afternoon inside the National Police headquarters in South Jakarta.
The 25-year old woman from East Jakarta of Ciracas area, identified as Zakiah Aini, had released six shots to police officers before she was shot to ground and died in the scene.
“Based on [individual] profiling, she was lone wolf actor who followed ISIS ideology,” the police chief explained, referring to Islamic State of Iraq and Syria which tries to implement caliphate.
Aini posted on her social media accounts including on Instagram about her ideology preference to ISIS. And 21 hours prior to her action, she posted ISIS flag on her Instagram.
From her parents’ home, police found Aini’s wills and farewell letter, advising her family members such as to stop using banking services, working with infidels or to profession created by infidels, to against democracy and all of its forms as it’s all against God’s will and teachings.
She stated in the letter about her expectation to open the way for all the family members to heaven by waging jihad.
Aini’s body was taken to a police hospital in East Jakarta.
Police did not explain the type of gun that Aini used to launch the attack.
At this moment, police has not found her link to any terrorist group.
