Durian. Search operation to find landslide victims on Serasan Island in Natuna regency of Indonesia’s Riau Islands province has found seven more bodies on Saturday, adding to the death toll to reach 44, but 10 others are still reported missing.

From 44 bodies only one body has yet identified, according to the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas).

Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy on Saturday visits the disaster affected area and said that the government will relocated villagers who are affected the natural disaster to another safe location, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said on Saturady.

For that, the government will build about 100 houses even though the landslides that occurred on Monday only buried 27 houses, but according to the Minister, the area is not safe anymore.

Search operation is still ongoing to find the missing people.
