Durian. Indonesian former coordinating minister for maritime affairs Rizal Ramli on Feb.16 criticized President Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, for inconsistency to fulfil his promises into actions.
He elaborated Jokowi promised to stop importing food, to build national automotive industry, to reduce foreign debts but the implementation was contrary. In 2014 for example the country’s foreign debt was 3,560 trillion rupiah and in now it increases to 5,275 trillion rupiah.
Rizal was a minister during Jokowi era from August 2015 to July 2016.
However, the economist said his critics toward the president was not related with his political perforation to support Jokowi opponent Prabowo Subianto in the upcoming presidential election on April 17.
