Durian. Navy from Singapore, Australia and India have offered their assistance to help Indonesia to search for its missing submarine KRI Nanggala-402 that was lost contact on Apr.21 in the waters near Bali Island with 53 people on board, Indonesian Defense Ministry said in its statement.
The submarine was in its preparatory drill when lost contact. Search and rescue operation is ongoing.
Indonesian Military Chief Air Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto told thebigdurian.news that Indonesia has asked Singpore and Australia to help for searching with their equipment and personnel.
Indonesian Military (TNI) has deployed its ships to comb the area where the submarine was last spotted.
“Several countries have responded and ready to give assistance, among them are Navy of Singapore, Australia and India,” the ministry said on Apr.21.
KRI Nanggala-402 is one of Indonesia’s five submarines.
