Durian. The result of nasal swab tests that were conducted to Indonesian President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Widodo have indicated that the state leader and his spouse are not infected by covid-19 virus, following impromptu medical checks a day before, the president said on July 25.
President Widodo and wife following were followed health protocol to take nasal swab tests after Solo Deputy Mayor Achmad Purnomo was declared had infected by covid-19 virus, after meeting the president a week earlier.
“The swab results have come last night, Alhamdulillah (Thanks to God), [it’s] negative. Ibu Iriana’s test also was negative,” President Widodo said in Bogor Palace, West Java.
“Alhamdulillah, I am healthy. This morning I am doing sports, cycling, so that my body is healthier so that my immune system is better,” he added during a short break of cycling.
He went on to call people of Indonesia to be disciplined in maintaining health protocols.
“I call all people to exercise every day, eat healthy and don’t forget to wear masks, wash your hands, and stay away from crowded. Social distancing is important,” he said.
President Widodo and his family were tested after Solo Deputy Mayor, Achmad Purnomo was announced to have tested positives for covid-19 on July 24.
Achmad Purnomo met with the President at the State Palace in Jakarta on July 16. Solo is in Central Java.
