Islamabad - Delegates from United States and Iran have arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan on Saturday, 11 April 2026 to start talks on war in West Asia region.
U.S. delegate arrived earlier led by Vice President J.D. Vance and welcomed by Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, followed by Iran's delegate led by Speaker of Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf who received the same treatment from the host country's leader.

Both delegates had separate conversations with the government of Pakistan before starting their talks regarding the prime issue.
The talks between US and Iran held following 14-days of ceasefire,announced by US President Donald Trump on 7 April 2026.
US and Israel have started their joint military operation against Iran on 28 February in which Iran staged its counter-attack toward Israel directly and its neighboring Arab countries - United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan - saying that US uses those countries' territory to launch attacks to Iran.***
