Washington DC/Jerusalem - President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced separately that the two countries have lunched military operations to attack Iran on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
“Short time ago, the United States’ military begun major combat operations in Iran. Our objective is to defend American people by eliminating eminent threats from the Iranian regime, a vicious group by very hard, terrible people," President Trump said in Washington DC, night hours in US and daylight in Asia.
He asked all for members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the armed forces and all of the police to surrender by laying down their weapons and will be granted immunity, otherwise will face death.
President Trump also asked the people of Iran to stay home as bombs will be dropping everywhere.
“...to the great-proud people of Iran, I say tonight that the hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay shelter, don’t leave your home ... Bombs will be dropping everywhere," he stated and pray for the success of the operation, conducted by US armed forces.
Separately from Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also made statement about the military operation towards Iran,
"My brothers and sisters, citizens of Israel, just an hour ago, Israel and the United States embarked on an operation to remove the existential threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran," PM Netanyahu said from Jerusalem.
Through the military operation towards Iran is named "Lion's Roar", freedom for the Iranian people, PM Netanyahu said.
"Our joint operation will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands," he said.
