Tangerang - Indonesia's future air mobility through the implementation of electric vertical take-off and landing or eVTOL needs the readiness of infrastructure besides the presence of advance aircraft technology, according to CEO Whitesky Group Denon Prawiraatmadja on Tuesday, 23 June 2026.
Speaking at an event titled "Welcoming the Future of Air Mobility” that's hosted by the Whitesky Group and SkyDrive Inc. at Cengkareng Heliport in Tangerang, Indonesia's Banten Province, Denon Prawiraatmadja pushed for the availability of heliport infrastructure in Indonesia.
Indonesia needs eVTOL is a fact, aimed to overcome the country's geographical constraints in which connecting more than 17,000 islands as well as a solution for urban land traffic congestion.
"If we are talking on eVTOL, we are not only talking about aircraft. We are talking about ecosystem that needs to be prepared since the beginning, starting from infrastructure, regulations, operators, safety, up to connectivity with other mode of transport," said Denon Prawiraatmadja, who is one of the experts in Indonesia on eVTOL.

"Whitesky wants to be part of the process by presenting infrastructure and collaboration that relevant for Indonesia," the CEO of the Whitesky added.
Whitesky is the operator of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
Cengkareng Heliport is one of the efforts to develop the network in strategic areas where Whitesky Group put itself as one of private parties that support the readiness of infrastructure for Indonesia's future air mobility.
Besides Cengkareng Heliport, Whitesky Group has been building a new heliport in Balikpapan, in Indonesia's East Kalimantan.
