Jakarta - Citilink, Indonesia's state-subsidiary low-budget air carrier, has opened five new domestic routes, starting on 1 July, 2026, the company said.

The new routes are Makassar-Yogyakarta; Yogyakarta-Batam; Yogyakarta-Balikpapan using Airbus A320, while for Yogyakarta-Banjarmasin and Banjarmasin-Balikpapan routes to be with ATR 72-600 aircrafts. All of the routes serve daily flights.

By having five new domestic routes, the airlines try to connect Yogyakarta on Java Island with East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, and Riau Islands.

Citilik said the new domestic routes show the company's commitment to provide easy, comfortable and  efficient trip accesses for the people as well as to support the country economic growth and tourism to many places.

"By opening these new routes, CItilink is committed continuously to provide wider connectivity, providing more trip options for the people. The new routes are hoped can support business activities also tourism as well as to support regional economic growth," CEO Citilink Darsito Hendroseputro said.***
