"Indonesia’s voice carries weight and moral authority, particularly as a country that consistently refers to the UN Charter and international law in its foreign policy. We would have welcomed a stronger and more firm position in support of efforts to ensure a comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine," said Charge de Affairs of Ukrainian Embassy in Jakarta Yevhenia Shynkorenko when asked to response Indonesia's abstention position on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
