Tehran - Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday, 28 February 2026 said that Iran’s military operation would continue to target the United States (US) and Israel, which it called the "enemy," until they were defeated decisively, to counter their joint attack, known as "Lion's Roar" operation, on the Persian nation.

IRGC also claims that all Israeli and US military targets in the Middle East would have been struck “by the powerful blows of Iranian missiles”.

IRGC had said it severely targeted the U.S military bases in Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, as well as "military hideouts in the heart of the occupied Palestinian lands", Iran's state news agency IRNA reported

“This operation will continue relentlessly until the enemy is decisively defeated. All US' assets throughout the region are considered legitimate targets for Iran’s Army," the IRGC said in a statement as quoted by IRNA.

Meanwhile, Israel's Army claimed to have detected Iranian missiles and triggered sirens in several regions throughout the country. It has announced to citizens to follow the instructions from Israel's  Home Front Command’s guidelines.

A nine-storage building has been hit in northern Israel after Iranian missiles had been intercepted, leaving one man with minor injuries, as he was struck by shrapnel from interceptor missiles, according to Israel’s Channel 12 broadcaster.

An hour after that, the Iranian launched a new wave of missiles, which were intercepted by the Israeli military in several areas across the country.

“The defense is not hermetic, and therefore it is essential that the public continue to adhere to the Home Front Command’s guidelines. The public is requested to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command,” Israel's military said in a statement on its Telegram's broadcast.

In response to that, Israeli authorities has also banned public gatherings, shut schools and workplaces, as well as moved hospital patients to underground facilities. The police urged against non-essential travel to allow security and emergency vehicles to move freely.***
