Riyadh - Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 26 February 2026 issued a statement, condemning Iran's aggression towards members of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait - and Jordan, stating it is ready to defend those countries.
The statement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the country's Foreign Affairs Ministry called Iran's attacks have violated the sovereignty of its brotherly western Asia nations.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan," the ministry said.
"The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the brotherly countries, and its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake," it added.
Iran started attacking the territory of UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan following United States and Israel's joint military operation, called Lion's Roar, towards Iran, on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
Saudi also also warns Iran about the grave consequences, resulting from the continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law.
Iran has stated on counter-attack towards US' military bases in GCC member states and Jordan.
Iran, Israel, GCC members, including Oman, and Jordan lie in western Asia region. Only Saudi Arabia and Oman from GCC have not experienced Iran's counter-attack measures.***
